The Sacramento Kings just could not help themselves when they wished one of their legends in Doug Christie a happy birthday through social media.

The Sacramento Kings’ social media team has been on fire since forever. In my opinion, they do an excellent job in producing content that entertains their fans, as well as throwing playful shade at other NBA teams. Not many do it better than them.

Once again, the purple and white strike again. Today was an important day as Kings’ legendary defender Doug Christie turned 49-years old today, and the Kings’ digital team wished Christie a happy birthday in the most Kings way possible.

Listed down below is a post that the Kings released on their social media accounts. The message shows a picture of Christie during his days as a Los Angeles Laker (ew), and the caption wishing him a happy birthday while mentioning him being the best player to rock the number eight in Los Angeles.

Laker Nation Gets Triggered

Obviously, the best player to wear number eight on the Lakers is Kobe Bryant. But I guess Laker fans cannot handle an innocent joke. Yes, we get it, Laker fans. Your team has won championships and Kobe is a top player of all time. Everyone knows this, so you can stop being so triggered.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Kings’ digital media team continues to do a great job in entertaining their fans during the offseason.

Even though some people (*cough* Laker fans *cough*) cannot take a joke, I am sure Kings and basketball fans everywhere cannot wait to find out what the Kings have in store this summer in their digital media department.
