What is the number one thing Sacramento Kings’ guard Bogdan Bogdanovic needs to improve on going into next season?

Overall, the Sacramento Kings had a better regular season than they had two years ago. But in the case for Bogdan Bogdanovic, it was sort of a down year for him.

After having an exciting and promising rookie season, there was a lot of hope that Bogdanovic would become a huge staple to the Kings’ rebuild. Even though Bogdan did play a big role in this year’s season, he did have an off year.

Looking At The Numbers

In terms of the numbers, Bogdan’s season was an improvement as he averaged 14.1 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. Compared to his rookie year, he increased his point-per-game average by 2.3, assists-per-game average by 0.5, and rebounds-per-game average by 0.6.

Although Bogdan’s averages did increase this season, what made this season for him a setback was because of his efficiency on the court, particularly his shooting percentages.

In his rookie year, Bogdan was shooting 44.6% from the floor, 39.2% from the three-point line, and 84.0% from the free-throw line. After concluding his sophomore year, he made 41.8% from the court, 36.0% from the perimeter and 82.7% from the charity stripe. A drop of 2.8% in his field-goal percentage, a 3.2% drop in three-point shooting percentage, and a 1.3% drop in free-throw shooting percentage.

What made Bogdan such a strong asset in his rookie year was his reliability to make shots from the floor. So when he was inconsistent this season, he did not make the same type of impact for the team compared to a year ago.

So the question now is how can he go back to his more efficient ways?
