A Possible Solution?

According to Nate Duncan, NBA media member, he recently posted a podcast talking about possible destinations for the top wing players that are free agents this upcoming July.

One of the players he mentioned was Jimmy Butler who is currently on the Philadelphia 76ers, and how the Kings could/should be a team in play for him this summer. If the Kings and Butler did mutually agree upon a deal, Butler would most likely be getting a max contract which is worth around $130-140 million over a span of four years.

Is that a good risk for Vlade to make?

Should The Kings Go After Jimmy?

After contemplating this topic, I would hop on the Jimmy Butler train.

Throughout his career, Butler has shown he is a remarkable talent and a player that is worthy of leading his own franchise. If signed by Sacramento, he would be an asset for the team on both ends of the court.

Offensively, he has shown he can create his own bucket in the paint and around the perimeter while occasionally finding ways to set up his teammates for scores. As a defender, Butler has always been reliable as he utilizes his athleticism and motor to help his team limit their opponent’s points.

Not only would Butler be an upgrade on the court for Sacramento, but he can also show the young Kings what it takes to become a winning team. Sure, his leadership tactics have been controversial in the past, but I do believe Butler is a guy that is all about winning and someone who urges his teammates to have the same mindset as well.

I feel with the personnel the Kings currently have, they would love to have a guy like Jimmy that can help them toughen up and become a team that NBA franchises would fear going forward.
