The Sacramento Kings have a golden opportunity to make ground in the Western Conference standings tonight. Hopefully, they do not blow it.

The Sacramento Kings have recently gone through a tough stretch of games which has resulted in them losing ground in the playoff race. As they faced off against teams like the Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Clippers, many thought they would lose all those games. Well, those people were right.

The Kings have been losing lately to good teams, but with that said, they still have been able to put up good fights in every contest. In the three games that I mentioned above, the Kings played well in each one as all of them went down to the wire and could have gone either way. The Kings should be proud of that. But now, those times are over.

Kings’ Golden Opportunity

With just 20 games remaining in the regular season, the Kings need to rack up the wins if they want to break their current 12-year playoff drought. Tonight’s game against the New York Knicks is a great way to begin a rally.

Right now, the Knicks are one of the worst teams in the NBA as they have a record of 13-50. With the Knicks playing against the Kings tonight, while being in the Golden 1 Center, there is absolutely no excuse for the purple and white to lose this game.

As long as the Kings stay true to themselves and execute the way they have in the past week, they should be fine. With a win tonight, it helps the Kings gain momentum for their upcoming games. On the other hand, if they lose to the inferior Knicks, it could be the start of their downfall for the rest of the campaign.
