The Sacramento Kings supplied excellent dunks, assists, and shooting from beyond the arch during NBA All-Star weekend.

With the first event to get the NBA All-Star weekend rolling, three players from the Sacramento Kings represented their community well when they were featured in the Rising Stars game.

For De’Aaron Fox, he needed just 22 minutes to dish out 16 assists for Team USA. Marvin Bagley contributed 14 points on highlight dunks in his 16 minutes on the court. And Bogdan Bogdanovic, who played for Team World, put up 15 points on 5-11 shooting from beyond the arch in his 24 minutes of action. As MVP in last year’s game, Bogi might not have wanted to be greedy to win it again.

It was a casual affair with plenty of highlight action.

Throughout the night, players like Kyle Kuzma, Jayson Tatum, and Ben Simmons made it a tough three-way race for the MVP award. Meanwhile, the rest of the field went with the motive of just having fun while trying to entertain the crowd with highlight plays. Some plays that came to mind were the off-the-backboard slam by John Collins and Bagley’s windmill and 360 dunks. The young kings did their job in making sure to showcase the promise Sacramento has going forward.

Buddy & De’Aaron Do Work On Saturday

The Kings continued to make an appearance on Saturday night. It started with Fox competing in the Skills Challenge. He eventually lost in the first round to Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young, but it was questionable whether that should have been the case.

As for Hield, he was able to do work in the Three-Point Shooting Contest as he was placed third overall amongst his counterparts. The only players to do better were Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors and Joe Harris from the Brooklyn Nets.

Hot. Playoffs or not, the 2018-19 season is a success for Kings. light

Final Thoughts

Overall, it was a good All-Star weekend for the Kings on BOTH Friday and Saturday night. Even though none of them brought home some individual hardware, they made their fanbase proud and forced the national media to give the purple and white their respects.
