Buddy Hield made Sacramento Kings nation proud during his three-point contest debut. But unfortunately, he was unable to take home the championship title.

Right after De’Aaron Fox ended his night in the Skills Challenge, it was time for Sacramento Kings’ sharpshooter Buddy Hield to take part in the three-point contest.

Other players who were in the competition were Seth Curry, Stephen Curry, Devin Booker, Joe Harris, Damian Lillard, Dirk Nowitzki, Khris Middleton, Danny Green, and Kemba Walker.

Buddy Got Buckets

Buddy started out his three-point contest debut in brilliant fashion. With Joe Harris at the time being the leader with 25 points, Buddy was able to finish his first round with a total of 26 points, putting him in the lead. But once the round ended, Stephen Curry became the leader with 27 points, but with that said, Buddy still advanced to the final round!

Love Was Lost…

Going into the final round, it was Buddy, Joe Harris, and Stephen Curry. Unfortunately, the magic from Buddy was lost in the final round as he only put up 19 points, eventually placing him at third once the contest ended.

Curry finished the round with 24 points and Harris had 26, crowning the Nets’ wing player the king of three-point shooting.

Final Thoughts

Well, the Kings went 0-2 for All-Star Saturday night. But it was still great to see both De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield do their thing on the national stage.

For Buddy, he was nothing short of great as he was able to entertain the crowd with his fire perimeter shooting. I am sure there will be multiple three-point shooting contests coming in his near future.

Trending. Playoffs or not, the 2018-19 season is a success for the Kings. light

Congratulations, Buddy, on your three-point contest debut! Now make sure you keep hitting those threes once the Sacramento Kings get back to regular-season action.
