The Sacramento Kings completely balled out in the NBA Rising Stars Challenge. See how the social media world reacted when witnessing the young Kings in action.

The NBA Rising Stars Challenge is officially over, and boy was it incredibly… boring. Do not get me wrong, it was nice to see the young Sacramento Kings perform on the national stage, but the game was never competitive and contained a lot of isolation play.

But with that said, the show was tolerable because the Kings did have three players featured in the game. These guys were De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley III, and Bogdan Bogdanovic.

For Fox, he was not the dynamic scorer that he usually is, as he scored just two points for the night. But instead, he was the best distributor on the court as his unselfishness granted him a whopping 16 assists for the game.

Bagley: The Human Highlight Reel

As for Bagley, scoring was the highlight of his night. Due to his aggressiveness and athleticism, Marvin showcased an array of incredible dunks which gave him a total of 14 points for the game. He also was able to record five rebounds and three blocks.

And for Bogdanovic, the three-point shot was his friend. Due to shooting 5-11 from beyond the arc, the Serbian star was able to finish the match with 15 points. He also made a hilarious play at the end of the game in which he passed the ball to his “opponent” Marvin Bagley for the easy slam.

Final Thoughts

Overall, tonight’s game was pretty boring. But the presence of the young Kings made it watchable. In my opinion, I would say the young Kings represented their community well. Everyone was able to make positive impacts as well as entertain the fans with occasional highlight plays, bringing a good mix of sizzle and steak.

Hopefully, the Kings remain to develop their young talent well so the franchise continues to be represented in Rising Star games in the upcoming future.

How about inviting Harry Giles next time???
