Check out the social media reactions that were posted when the Sacramento Kings faced off against the Denver Nuggets.

Great First Half

The game could have not gone better for Sacramento. The starting five was moving the ball tremendously and were making their shots from the floor, especially Buddy Hield who recorded 11 points in the quarter. As a result, the Kings led 41-30 after one.

In the second quarter, the second unit for Sacramento brought the same type of fire as their starters. But as the quarter went on, the Nuggets started to creep back into the game due to them upping their play and taking advantage of Kings turnovers. But the Kings still led by 11 going into halftime.

Things Started To Go Downhill

Once the second half started, Denver woke up. From Paul Millsap to Isaiah Thomas, the Nuggets started to roll while the Kings’ play declined. The Kings’ dominance was no more as they saw themselves trailing by two points at the end of the third.

After struggling in the third, the Kings played catch up the rest of the way. They were able to rally back and have the chance to win in the final seconds, but Buddy Hield was unable to convert the game-winning perimeter shot, making Sacramento’s 27th loss of the season official.

Final Thoughts

Tonight’s game for Sacramento is a heartbreaker. It would have been nice for them to enter the All-Star break with a statement win, but now they have lost ground in the standings.

Hopefully, the Kings keep their heads high going forward. Even though they were unable to defeat a Western powerhouse tonight, they showed that they can at least hang with the NBA’s top teams.
