As the trade deadline nears closer, the Sacramento Kings have more than a few questions left unanswered.

There’s been plenty of trade rumors surrounding the Sacramento Kings since the season began, but so far it’s been much ado about nothing. As trade after trade continues to go down across the league, the Kings have been left out of the festivities. While that may be for the best, there’s still holes across the roster and besides, what fun is the trade deadline if your team isn’t making moves?

As the trade market has heated up, with multiple stars having already been shipped out or rumored to be on the market there’s plenty of room for the Sacramento Kings to get in on the action — especially with their treasure chest of expiring contracts and second round picks. Still, they seem hesitant to pull the trigger on any deals, seemingly content to hang back and let the rest of the season play out. But with the Los Angeles Clippers appearing to punt of the season after Wednesday mornings big trade and the Lakers in a perpetual state of turmoil, a playoff spot is there for the Kings to take.

They do seem infatuated with the idea of bringing over Otto Porter Jr. from the Wizards, but thus far Washington hasn’t signaled a desire to move him. The Kings know their biggest hole is at small forward and they could be one trade away from being in the playoffs. They’re also lacking a reliable option behind De’Aaron Fox, will they make a play for Jeremy Lin?
