This one comes from 8 Points, 9 Seconds’ Tony East and it involves ex-King Darren Collison returning to California’s capital city.

This one is pretty straight forward, the Pacers get a young big they could take a look at in Skal Labissiere, while also adding a solid rotation big who they could either use or waive. This trade brings no long-term money to Sacramento either, as Collison is a free agent after the season.

The Kings do get their backup point guard, however, one that’s averaging 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.5 steals on 45.5 percent shooting in 27.6 minutes per game. Collison has been a positive on both sides of the court this season as well, boasting a 0.6 offensive box plus/minus and a defensive BPM of 0.5. There’s not much  more to say here, except this could be a shrewd move for the Sacramento Kings.

Whether ir not Indiana will pull the trigger remains to be seen though, as they just lost Victor Oladipo for the season and could hang onto Collison as a result. You also have to wonder if Collison has any ill-will towards Sacramento after they didn’t approach him for a contract extension when he became a free agent.
