Honorable Mentions / Final Thoughts

Not only did the Kings grow as a collective whole tonight, but so did some of their young guys. Guys like Harry Giles and Marvin Bagley were excellent coming off the bench for Sacramento as they gave their team a much-needed spark early in the game. For the night, the two former Blue Devils combined for 25 points and15 rebounds while making over 60% of their shots from the floor.

Justin Jackson was another player that played well tonight as he recorded nine points and three rebounds while playing good defense. Jackson has made tremendous strides since the beginning of the season and is starting to become a reliable asset for the Kings going forward.

It was not the prettiest of games, but tonight’s win was a huge growing moment for the Kings. With the Blazers being one of the better teams in the Western Conference, the Kings needed to beat them in order to make ground in the standings and continue to shock the haters.

With a six-game road trip up ahead for the Kings, a win tonight will give them much-needed momentum going forward. If the Kings can continue their winning ways, they will be back in the playoff picture in no time.
