Headline #2: Battle of the Benches

Although this game will highlight mainly players from both team’s starting lineups, how the reserves play for each team could actually determine who wins this contest. And that could be an advantage for the Kings.

Right now, the Kings’ reserves are considered one of the more efficient groups in their category this year. For the campaign, they are averaging over 42 points a contest and are eighth in the league in efficiency rating.

As for the Warriors, their reserves have been mediocre this season. For the year, they are averaging just under 30 points a game and are fourteenth in the league in efficiency rating.

If the Kings are going to win this game, their bench most likely needs to have a good outing. Sacramento is a bit shorthanded, however, with Marvin Bagley III still sidelined with a knee injury. But the Kings still have guys like Bogdan Bogdanovic, Harry Giles, Yogi Ferrell, and more who are capable of providing a spark for their team.

If Sacramento’s reserves are able to outplay Golden State’s bench, then Sacramento has a good chance of winning tonight’s game. But if they struggle, you can forget about it.
