Final Thoughts
This was a frustrating night for the Kings and their fans. Even though they did not play well on both ends of the court, they still found a way to get in position for the win. It is no guarantee, but one expects a team to seal the dub when they have a nine-point lead with three minutes remaining. Hopefully, the Kings will take this game as a good learning lesson and become a stronger group going forth.
Even though the Kings overall did not have a good game, there were still some positives to take out of it. For one, Harry Giles finally got to see some significant playing time on the court and he held his own. In 13 minutes of action, he was able to give his team a spark as he recorded six points, seven rebounds, and one block.
As for the Kings overall, they did not play well but still had a great opportunity to beat the Blazers who are one of the top teams in Western Conference currently. If this loss happened at the beginning of the season, many fans would consider this game a moral victory. But now that expectations have risen for the purple and white, we all are disappointed tonight.
The Sacramento Kings are no joke anymore. They are young and hungry to make sure their franchise becomes relevant again, and their play has shown it so far. If an opponent wants to beat the Kings this year, they most likely have to bring their A-game.
