Sacramento Kings: Marvin Bagley III Sidelined For Another Two Weeks
By John Kelly
The Sacramento Kings’ medical staff has updated Marvin Bagley III’s injury timeline.
After Marvin Bagley III suffered a knee injury in a recent meeting against the Golden State Warriors, the Sacramento Kings are being cautious about bringing their prized rookie back to action. Bagley’s 12 points and six rebounds a game average has been missed, but the Kings still continue to be competitive against their opponents.
Bagley’s Recovery Time Extended
So far, Bagley has missed seven games since injuring his knee, but that was already expected. Once the injury happened, it was reported that Bagley would be sidelined for two weeks. But what was not expected was that he could miss more time.
Unfortunately, that is the case for the Kings’ rookie, as not too long ago the news came out that Bagley will sit out for at least another two weeks to recover from his injury. Not the best news to hear for the Kings and their fans as this will take away more reps and more time away from a promising rookie like Bagley to develop.
Sacramento Has A Lot Of Big Men To Fill In For MB3
Obviously, this news hurts for the Kings because it takes away an athletic big from their main rotation of players. But with that said, the Kings already have a plethora of big men on the depth chart. Guys like Harry Giles, Nemanja Bjelica, Kosta Koufos, and Skal Labissiere might be getting more minutes in the near future, and they have to make sure they are being assets for the Kings when they get their chance.
