The Sacramento Kings will face off against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight. This article will showcase what the two main headlines are for this contest.

The Sacramento Kings are coming off a frustrating loss yesterday to the Los Angeles Clippers, but they have the chance to get back on track as they will host the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.

Right now, the Kings’ record stands at 18-16 which has them ranked ninth in the Western Conference standings. As for the Lakers, they seem like a team destined to compete in this year’s postseason as their record at the moment is at 20-14.

Tonight’s contest is a big one for the Kings. Not only are they playing arguably their most hated rival, but a win for Sacramento would help them make ground in the standings. Although the Kings have been a surprise so far this season, they are not completely satisfied with their play.

These Kings are thinking playoffs once the regular season is over, and for the purple and white to reach their goal, they need to win games like tonight to show that they can hang with the top teams in the NBA.
