Sacramento Kings: 3 Players To Watch For Against The Clippers
By Rafe Wong
Player #1: De’Aaron Fox
The Sacramento Kings need their starting point guard to have a good night. In almost all of Sacramento’s win this season, De’Aaron Fox has played a key part in those matches due to his ability to facilitate the offense and showcase flashes of being an elite defender.
For the year, Fox is averaging over 18 points, seven assists, and three rebounds a night while shooting around 47% from the floor, 41% from the perimeter, and 72% from the free-throw line.
In order for the Kings to have a chance in winning tonight’s game, Fox must continue to be an asset on both ends of the court. Offensively, he has to increase the pace of the game whenever he has the chance so he gives himself and his teammates chances for easy scores. As for the defensive end, he has to play solid defense against guys like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Patrick Beverley.
The last time these two teams met, Gilgeous-Alexander had his way with Fox as he was able to record 17 points, four assists, five rebounds, two blocks, and two steals. Hopefully, the outcome is different this time around.
