Player #3: Iman Shumpert

Another guard has made the list. Yes, it is critical that Iman Shumpert has a good outing on both ends of the floor. The numbers will not show it, but Shumpert is critical to how the Kings operate this season. He has shown to be the ideal veteran presence, both on and off the court, which has helped the Kings’ rebuild make strides this year.

As I said, Iman needs to have a great game tonight. Offensively, he needs to shoot well from the perimeter and move well without the ball in his hands. Defensively, he will be guarding guys like Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant. All three players are critical to the Warriors’ dominance, so Shumpert needs to make sure that he is locking down on whoever he is guarding.

If Shumpert is able to play good defense and tire out his opponents on the offensive end, that would be considered a huge contribution by him in helping his team be competitive.
