Player #1: De’Aaron Fox

Surprise, surprise. De’Aaron Fox needs to have a good game for the Kings to play well. For the majority of the Kings’ wins this campaign, Fox has been a major contributor in them. So Sacramento will need him to light it up once again against the powerhouse Warriors.

Offensively, Fox needs to be aggressive. He needs to continue to be the anchor of the offense whether it is scoring or distributing the ball to his teammates. In order for the Kings’ offense to outmatch Golden State, the pace of the game needs to be high, so Fox will need to keep that in mind when he has the ball in his hands.

Defensively, Fox will have the assignment of defending Stephen Curry. Just like Fox, Curry makes a huge impact on how the Warriors perform as he is the catalyst of their offense. It will be close to impossible for Fox to completely halt Curry tonight, but if he can limit him somewhat in the game, it will be significant. This means Fox will need to play physical defense and wear Curry out like a blanket to make sure the multiple MVP is uncomfortable.

It is a lot to ask from Fox to exert so much energy on both ends of the court. But if he is going to be the guy that leads the Kings back to relevancy, he needs to have excellent nights against excellent competition.
