Player #3: Marvin Bagley III

The second unit for Sacramento has been solid this year, and they will need another good outing tonight to beat Chicago. Obviously, Bogdan Bogdanovic will be efficient in facilitating the reserves, but the Kings need another player from the group to step up as well. Tonight’s game is a great opportunity for Marvin Bagley III to be that guy.

In his rookie campaign, Bagley has been pretty good as he has provided occasional sparks for the Kings off the bench. In the 23 games he has appeared in, he is averaging over 12 points, six rebounds, and a block a game while shooting over 52% from the court.

Last Saturday, Bagley had a disappointing outing as he got into foul trouble early and often. Tonight’s contest gives him the chance to regain his mojo by playing against some inferior competition. For the Bulls, they have big men like Jabari Parker, Lauri Markkanen, and Wendall Carter Jr. All have been solid for the Bulls so far, but all are definitely opponents that Bagley can outplay if he is in the zone.
