Main Takeaway

The Sacramento Kings are usually the ones that run their opponents off the court, but in this contest, they were the ones that looked out of breath. To begin the game, the purple and white looked solid on offense as they recorded 52 points in the first half. But once the second half started, they played sloppy as they turned the ball over and were unable to get good shot attempts.

In the third quarter, the Kings had a shot to take the game over as the Pacers were playing tired as well. But instead, they only came up with a total of 18 points for the period. And once the fourth quarter came along, Indiana regained their legs and made sure that they left Sacramento in the dust until the clock hit triple zeros.

With the Kings playing against the Cleveland Cavaliers the day before, it is understandable that they played tired tonight. But the Pacers also played a game last night as well. Every team has to experience back-to-back games occasionally this season, so they cannot use that as an excuse for tonight’s loss. Hopefully, this performance will be a good learning lesson for them going forth.
