Sacramento Kings: Three players who stood out in loss to Warriors
Marvin Bagley III had another strong performance tonight, rewarding Dave Joerger’s renewed confidence in him.
Marvin Bagley III has been benefitting from rumors of Head Coach Dave Joerger’s firing, as he’s been granted extended playing time and has put up the numbers to back it up.
Bagley played 34 minutes tonight, tied for the most on the team, out playing starting power forward Nemanja Bjelica by 15 minutes-something Bagley certainly warranted.
MB3 put up 20 points, 17 rebounds and two assists on 7-15 shooting, while going 6-8 from the line as well.
Bagley vastly out playing and outperforming Bjelica was certainly a surprise and could become a major development down the road. Nemanja Bjelica is key to the Sacramento Kings’ success, but if Bagley consistently outplays and performs him, MB3 could find his way in the starting lineup sooner, rather than later.
Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley weren’t the only one who played a strong game, as Harry Giles turned in one of his best games this season.
