Player #2: Willie Cauley-Stein

For Minnesota, their powerhouse player is Karl-Anthony Towns as he may be on his way to another All-Star campaign, For the season, the three-year pro is averaging over 18 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks per contest.

In tonight’s game, Minnesota plans for their star big man to have a great night, but he will have to get through Willie Cauley-Stein. With Cauley-Stein as the Kings’ man in the middle, he has been awesome so far. Currently, Willie is doing a little bit of everything as he is averaging over 16 points, eight rebounds, and two assists a night.

For the Kings to limit the Minnesota offense, they need Cauley-Stein to have a good defensive night. He needs to be able to protect the paint and rebound the ball effectively as well. On the offensive end, Willie needs to be able to score in the paint. He is coming off a good scoring night against the Toronto Raptors, so hopefully, that carries on into tonight’s contest.

For fans who watch this game, keep close attention to this matchup between Towns and Cauley-Stein. Whoever wins this battle may decide which team leaves the Golden 1 Center with the victory.
