More Perspectives From Members

RAMEN (@Rayjon_): Watching the Kings go through this preseason should shed some light on what we can look forward too. I think we are all optimistic about the future of Fox, Giles, Bagley, and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Even though Bagley struggled not often, he continued to work through it and stay active. I love that in young players.

Giles showed us flashes of why he was at one point the best high school prospect in the country. He has a rare skill set, and with time, I think he can potentially be the Kings’ best player. For Fox, we can all agree he will be fine. His shot looks better and he has elite quickness and speed.

As far as expectations, they will be bad. I will not measure the success of this season from a wins perspective. I will measure it by how the players develop, what type of effort they show on a nightly basis, and how coach Dave Joerger works with those players.

For fun, I am expecting the Kings to win 28 games. Also, Harry Giles and Marvin Bagley III will both make the All-Rookie teams.

Read. Preseason hasn’t been kind to the Kings. light

JONATHAN (@jonrxxiii): If you asked me before training camp how many games I thought they would win, I would have said over 30. In fact, I even wrote about it and pegged them for a 31-32 win season. After watching the preseason though? I think there is no way they get over 30 and would be lucky to improve on last season’s 27-55 record.

The Kings played well against the Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Phoenix Suns. But it is hard to discount how poorly some key players played during those games. Not only that, but there are still serious concerns about the small forward position until Bogdan Bogdanovic is back. I think the team’s over/under in Vegas is set at 25.5, which I would still take the over but not by much.

I think I will split Ryan and Rafe’s predictions and peg them at 28-56.
