Bill Simmons Praises The Sacramento Kings? What?

Not too long ago, Bill Simmons, NBA media personality, made a comment which praised the Sacramento Kings and their front office. What is happening here?
The answer is NO. You did not read that header wrong. Yes, Bill Simmons actually made a positive comment towards Vlade Divac and the Sacramento Kings. For people who do not know, Simmons has made the Kings the butt of many jokes in the past due to the team’s previous miscues and “dysfunctional culture”. So pretty much similar to how most people outside the Kings community view the team.
Well, not too long ago, Simmons went to Twitter to express his praise towards the purple and white. To be more specific, the comment was made towards Kings’ rookie Harry Giles.
In Simmons’ tweet, he was commenting on Giles’ highlight reel against Maccabi Haifa where he stated that he thinks Giles is a great talent. Simmons also said that Vlade Divac took a good risk in drafting Giles back in 2017, but also ended the comment with a back-handed compliment. We are talking about Bill Simmons here.

Final Thoughts
Usually, the Kings’ organization is viewed as the joke of the NBA. So seeing a positive comment that was made by someone who is well known around the NBA world is refreshing.
