Check out why the matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors on December 14 is must-watch television.

As the NBA regular season is just weeks away, I thought it would be a good time to analyze the schedule for the Sacramento Kings and see which games catch my eye. When looking at the schedule, there were a couple of games that I am excited about. One of the games being when the purple and white go up against the reigning champion Golden State Warriors.

When looking at this game, there are three headlines that enter my mind, so let us jump into those headlines.

Headline #1: The Champs Are Here

The obvious reason to be excited about this game is that the defending champs will be playing at the Golden 1 Center. The Warriors are loaded with talent and play the game at an incredibly efficient level, so the Kings are going to need to bring their A-game this night.

Fortunately, the Kings usually play their best against better competition. Add that with having the Golden 1 crowd backing them up and this game should be a competitive one from start to finish.

Goal #2: Chef Curry Against Swipa

The Warriors are loaded with star talent, but there is no question that Stephen Curry is their anchor that leads them to greatness. For the past few years, Curry has entertained fans around the globe with his insane dribbling and scoring ability.

Most players in the NBA have trouble guarding Curry, even the best defenders. On this date, De’Aaron Fox will get his shot at the two-time MVP.

For Fox, he likely will have to guard Curry for most of the game. With Fox’s physical tools, he does have the ability to be a lockdown defender. So if he is able to be aggressive as well, he might just be able to contain Stephen.

Goal #3: Possible Boogie Return?

Insanity happened during the NBA offseason which included former Kings player DeMarcus Cousins signing with the Golden State Warriors. For Cousins, he is considered one of the most dominant big men in the NBA today, so having him join a Warriors team that is already elite is just not fair.

Currently, Cousins is nursing a torn Achilles injury that he suffered last season, so it is unknown when he will return back to the hardwood. But there is the possibility that he will be healthy when this game comes around which means he will return back to the place where he was (and still) is beloved in the Kings community.
