Sacramento Kings: Frank Mason III Shines In FIBA Qualifier
By Rafe Wong
Sacramento Kings’ guard Frank Mason III had himself a game when Team USA faced off against Uruguay in the most recent FIBA World Cup qualifying match.
Not too long ago, the news came out that Sacramento Kings’ facilitator Frank Mason III was selected to be part of Team USA’s qualifying roster for the FIBA World Cup. Yesterday, Team USA went up against the Uruguayan national team, and as a result, the United States came out victorious by a score of 114-57.
Team USA dominated from the start due to many of their players having great individual games. But one can say that the best performance came from Frank Mason himself.
For the game, Mason had his way with his opponents all night as he led his team in both points and assists. In the 18 minutes Frank appeared in, he recorded 16 points, eight assists, and two rebounds while shooting 87.5% (7/8) from the floor and 100% (2/2) from the three-point line. He also had a +/- of +32.

Final Thoughts
Overall, it is good to see Frank Mason cooking it up on the court. Although Kings fans have witnessed Mason’s ability to be a solid player for their team, inconsistency was an issue for him during his rookie campaign.
Hopefully, with more experience and hard work under his belt, Mason can become a reliable asset for the Kings this season. The Kings already have speedster De’Aaron Fox and scrappy Yogi Ferrell on their roster, so a consistent Frank Mason would make the point guard spot loaded for Sacramento in the upcoming year.
