Why will the Sacramento Kings’ matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers be a must-watch event for the Kings community?

The 2018-2019 regular-season schedule is now open to the public. Which means that the Sacramento Kings’ schedule is released as well.

Now that the public knows who the Kings will face in the upcoming season, which games on the calendar are a must watch for the Sacramento community? To me, a game that definitely stands out is when the Kings play the Los Angeles Lakers on November 10th.

Here are my three headlines for the game.

Headline #1: The King Comes To Sacramento

This game will be the first time LeBron James faces the Kings as a member of the Lakers. With James currently being the best basketball player on the planet, he shocked the world when he decided to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and take his talents to Hollywood.

The Kings already view the Lakers as their ultimate foe, so this game was already going to be a thriller for Sacramento fans to watch. Now add King James to the mix, tickets for the match will definitely sell out.

Headline #2: Rivalry Game

Like I mentioned above, the Kings and Lakers consider each other rivals, meaning they despise one another. Expect the energy and effort to be at a max when these two teams play each other, especially on the Kings’ end.

Sacramento is not expected to be competitive this season, and unfortunately, the Lakers are. So if the Kings are able to sneak in a couple of wins against the Lakers this year, Kings fans will be pumped as they will have some bragging rights towards Laker fans. With this game being at the Golden 1 Center while being LeBron’s first time in Sacramento as a Laker, expect the Kings and their crowd to be electric all night long.

Headline #3: Fox Against Ball

A mini-rivalry within the rivalry. Kings fans should be ecstatic to see De’Aaron Fox go up against Lonzo Ball. Because both guys were highly-coveted prospects in their draft class, the Kings community is anxious to see which one becomes the better player.

Plus with all the hype that Ball has received in the last few years, he has become a household name and a player that basketball fans want to see. Kings fans are hoping that Fox ends up having the better career. So far, he has been the successor in their matchups against each other going all the way back to college.

Maybe the bigger question is will Lonzo even be “healthy” for this game?

Kings fans. How excited are you to watch this matchup against your team’s ultimate rival? To express your thoughts on the topic, feel free to comment on our websiteFacebook page, or Twitter account.
