Not too long ago, Sacramento Kings’ big man Willie Cauley-Stein received high praise from some of the best players in today’s NBA.

Throughout this summer, Sacramento Kings fans have been ecstatic for players like Marvin Bagley III and Harry Giles. But let us not forget that Willie Cauley-Stein is still with the purple and white.

For players like C.J. McCollum and Kevin Durant, they definitely know who Cauley-Stein is as they talked about him during McCollum’s podcast called “The Pull Up”. During the episode, the two were discussing players that they like in the NBA, and then Durant mentioned Cauley-Stein. The two then talked about Willie’s freak athleticism and ability to become one of the dominant big men in the league going forward. Great praise from two players that know what it takes to be successful in the NBA.

Final Thoughts

With the Kings having an abundance of young talent on their roster, Cauley-Stein gets lost in the mix sometimes. And that should not be the case.

I mean, Cauley-Stein is only 24-years old and has been a solid player for the Kings in his last two seasons. Not only that, but he still has more room to grow as his potential is as high as the stratosphere.

I hope that the Kings try to make Willie a focus this season, as he has the highest ceiling amongst his teammates, in my opinion. Cauley-Stein’s rookie contract is coming to an end soon, so the Kings need to know whether he has what it takes to be their long-term big man going forward. What better way to know his this than to make him more of a focal point for this year’s Sacramento Kings.
