Should The Kings Cop or Drop?

When it comes to the Kings potentially acquiring Hood, I think the main factor will be the price. In my opinion, it is too risky to sign Hood to a long-term deal. The reasons I believe this notion is because he has proven to be just a role player at the moment and it is unknown how he will perform with a team that is rebuilding from scratch.

If I were Vlade Divac and company, I would offer a contract worth $8-10 million a season for a duration of 2-3 years. I would also add a team option in the final year of the contract as well.

For the Kings, Rodney Hood is an intriguing direction to go due to his potential to help Sacramento on the offensive end. On the Jazz, Hood played his role perfectly as he was a reliable scorer for his team. He also had his moments with the Cavaliers as well.

But can Hood translate his past production while repping the purple and white? For the Kings and their fans, I hope he does if he gets the chance.
