The Sacramento Kings dropped their third summer league game in Las Vegas as they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 96-84.
The Sacramento Kings were unable to get the job done today as they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 96-84. With this game in the books, the Kings now have a record of 1-3 in the summer league games in Las Vegas.
Also with this defeat, the Kings now get placed in the Consolation Bracket and will play their next game Friday.
Game Recap
The Kings were outplayed by the Cavaliers. The game was somewhat close in the beginning, but as the game went on, Cleveland kept increasing their lead led by the play of Collin Sexton.
Even though the purple and white played flat as a collective group, there were still some standout individual performances by a few. Some of these players were Zach Auguste who finished with 19 points and nine rebounds, Justin Jackson who scored 20 points, and Harry Giles who recorded seven points, five rebounds, and six assists.
Giles also got into a fourth-quarter scuffle with Billy Preston of the Cavaliers which led to both guys being ejected from the contest. Keep showing that nastiness, HG 👍.
Final Thoughts
Overall, another disappointing outing by the team wearing purple. In my opinion, the Kings have underachieved in both their summer league campaigns despite having talented rosters. Hopefully, the Kings can win their next game on Friday where they will play either the Golden State Warriors or Charlotte Hornets.
