Due to their exciting and young talent, the Sacramento Kings were able to win their first game in the California Summer Classic.

The first game in the California Summer Classic is in the books for the Sacramento Kings, and they were able to leave with the victory as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers by a score of 98-93.

From the start, both teams were physical and aggressive which led to the score staying close for the entire game. The Kings were trailing for most of the first half but were able to up the tempo and take the lead until the clock hit triple zeros.

Although it is great to see the Kings get the victory, what made this game special was how specific young Kings were able to be efficient on the court.

Some of these players were De’Aaron Fox, Frank Mason III, Harry Giles, and Marvin Bagley III. For the night, Fox recorded 23 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, Mason had 16 points and nine assists, Giles scored 13 points, and Bagley recorded 18 points and six rebounds.

Final Thoughts

Overall, a terrific day for the Kings as they were able to seal their first victory in summer league. With the latest news in free agency not going Sacramento’s way, they needed a night like this to remind the community that this team is not going to quit despite being against the odds.

With guys like Fox, Mason, Giles, and Bagley playing the way they did tonight, I will say the future of the Kings is about to get better.
