3-and-D Potential

There is a reason why Ariza has been a starter in so many games. His skillset is ideal for the 3-and-D type of player which is perfect in today’s NBA. Last season, Ariza was able to make just under 37% of his shots from beyond the arc and in his career has made over 35% of his perimeter shots.

Not only can Ariza be a solid spot-up shooter, but his defense will also be a spark for the Kings. Although Trevor’s defense is not the same compared to when he was playing in his prime, he is still a decent enough defender to handle his own against opponents.

For the longest time, the Kings have been looking for a 3-and-D guy at the three, and Ariza is one of the few free agents this year that fits the mold.
