Sacramento Kings: Willie Cauley-Stein predicts next year’s ROY
By Rafe Wong
Not too long ago, Willie Cauley-Stein made a prediction on who will be the rookie of the year in the next NBA season.
With the NBA Awards Show concluding last night, it is official that Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers is the NBA’s best rookie of the 2017-2018 season.
Right now, we are a year away from finding out who the next rookie of the year will be, but it has not stopped people from making predictions on the topic. Including a member of the Sacramento Kings.
In a recent video posted by TMZ, they interviewed Sacramento Kings’ big man Willie Cauley-Stein in Los Angeles. In the video, the interviewer asked Willie who he thought would be the next best NBA rookie, and Willie answered with Harry Giles.
Although Giles was drafted in 2017, he has not appeared in an NBA game yet which makes him a rookie for next season. If you want to listen to the whole interview between TMZ and Trill, click here.

Final Thoughts
My opinion, this is a bold but low-key smart prediction by Willie. Although he has not stepped on the NBA floor yet, Giles has been given high remarks from his coaches and teammates throughout this year which gives the belief he will play a big part in the Kings’ rebuild going forth.
So, Kings fans. What are your opinions on Harry Giles being a possible option to win next year’s NBA Rookie of the Year Award? To express your thoughts on the issue, feel free to comment on our website, Facebook page, or Twitter account.
