This article will showcase how the social media world reacted when the Sacramento Kings traded their second-round selection.

After the Sacramento Kings selected Marvin Bagley III with the second overall pick, Vlade Divac and company did not stop. Sacramento also held the 37th pick in the draft, and they invested the pick on Gary Trent Jr., a sharpshooter out of the University of Duke.

For a second, it looked like the Kings were going to add another Blue Devil to their roster. But moments after making the pick the Kings traded Trent to the Portland Trail Blazers for two future second-round picks.

Once the trade became official to the public, people in the Kings community expressed their thoughts on the transaction via social media. With that being said, listed down below are some tweets that the A Royal Pain team was able to gather up pertaining to the Kings trading Gary Trent.

Reactions From The Kings’ Trade

Final Thoughts

Once the Kings agreed to trade Trent to the Blazers, their draft night officially concluded. In the end, the Kings ended up with Marvin Bagley, a player with raw talent but great upside, and two second-round picks for the future.

In my opinion, I would say the Kings did a good job in the draft. Although I would have preferred them to take Doncic at #2, I do believe Bagley will be a good player in the NBA and will help the Kings take that next step into their rebuild.
