How The Sacramento Kings Can Land Kawhi Leonard?
By Rafe Wong
Do the Sacramento Kings have a legit chance of landing Kawhi Leonard? What trade could possibly work for the Kings to acquire the established star?
The NBA world is going crazy at the moment due to the news releasing that multiple All-Star player Kawhi Leonard wants out from the San Antonio Spurs.
Most people thought if Kawhi were to request a trade, he most likely would be dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, or Boston Celtics.
But not too long ago, a tweet from Chris Mannix, Senior Writer for Yahoo Sports, stated that the Sacramento Kings could be in play for Leonard as well due to the team having high interest in trading their second pick in the hopes of landing a legit star.
What trade could possibly work where the Kings can actually bring Kawhi Leonard to Sacramento?
MY Trade Offer
Obviously, the Kings need to add their second pick to the trade package. There is no doubt about that. But I also think the Kings would have to sacrifice one or two of their young talents in order for Leonard to become a King.

In my opinion, Bogdan Bogdanovic is one of the guys that the Kings would have to add to the trade offer. He is an NBA-ready player already who would work perfectly with Gregg Popovich and the Spurs’ system.
Another player that could be part of the trade would be Willie Cauley-Stein. It is not guaranteed that Cauley-Stein will be extended by the Kings this summer, and I think the Spurs would be interested in acquiring a long and athletic big man like Willie.
So there you have it. I believe if the Kings were to send the Spurs an offer which contained their second pick, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Willie Cauley-Stein, it has a fighting chance of Kawhi Leonard actually coming to the Sacramento Kings.
