The downfall of today’s workout is everybody knows Bagley III is a skilled offensive player, but his defense is the question mark. He may be a man without a position early in his career. Big centers may dominate him down low, and wing types will put Bagley’s lack of perimeter defense on full display. Hopefully, he shows massive defensive improvements during summer league and next season.
Post workout interview
The workout was special, but Bagley III also had a lot of exciting comments during the post-workout interview. You can watch a part of it below thanks to Sean Cunningham.
Marvin Bagley III may have been playing up to the fans, but to say he loves Sacramento was a nice touch. The team needs a star player that embraces the city, so put a point in the Bagley ledger right there. Bagley III also reiterated his belief that he is the draft’s best player which you can read more about here.
Potential at pick 2?
The former Blue Devil impressed in Sacramento on Monday, but is he the favorite at pick two? No, Luka Doncic is still the man for the Kings. Bagley III likely drops off the board at pick three to the Atlanta Hawks.
