Sacramento Kings’ Youngster Embracing The Summer Grind
By Rafe Wong
Check out which players on the Sacramento Kings have been showcasing their workouts during the offseason.
Even though the 2017-2018 season is over for the Sacramento Kings, it has not stopped some of their players from working out and showcasing their hustle through social media. With that being said, A Royal Pain has gathered up videos from Instagram which show some of the players from the Kings working hard and embracing the summer grind.
Let us jump into it!
De’Aaron Fox
De’Aaron Fox wasted no time once the regular season ended. At the beginning of May, Fox posted a video of him exercising in the gym as well as working on his game on the basketball court. Check out the video listed down below.
Buddy Hield
It was not a full video of him working out, but Buddy Hield showed a little snippet of his time in the gym in his Instagram story. Fortunately, the Kings’ digital team was able to save the clip of Hield and post it on their Instagram account. In the video clip, Buddy is in the gym showing off his vertical by doing box jumps. #TeamBunnies

Iman Shumpert
It looks like Iman Shumpert cannot wait to get himself back on the basketball hardwood. Not too long ago, the seven-year veteran showcased a workout of him getting shots up on a court. Based on my analysis, it seemed like Iman put in a good amount of time in the gym as he was sweating buckets. His back was looking like Kevin Garnett’s head after two minutes of playing ball.

Other Young Kings
I was not able to find a video, but according to Jason Jones, Kings’ writer for the Sacramento Bee, Frank Mason III, Harry Giles, Nigel Hayes, and Skal Labissiere have been spending time at the Kings’ facility working out.
Final Thoughts
It was probably expected, but it is still nice to see that the young Kings are working hard and trying to get better for next season. Although the team struggled this campaign, their young talent showed flashes of a being a competitive squad. And a result, there is hope in the Kings community that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
