Recently, a report came out that Bogdan Bogdanovic will have minor surgery on his left knee. But do not worry Sacramento Kings fans, he will be ready and healthy to play next season.

According to James Ham, Sacramento Kings’ Insider for NBC Sports California, Bogdan Bogdanovic, a rookie guard for the Kings, will undergo minor surgery in his left knee today.

The motivation behind the surgery is due to the Kings’ rookie suffering a slight tear in his left meniscus. According to Ham, the surgery is taking place in New York City at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Although a medical procedure to the knee never sounds great, there is no need to panic, Kings fans. As stated in Ham’s article, the surgery today is just a cleanup to Bogdanovic’s knee, meaning he should make a full recovery by the time training camp starts for the Kings.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, Bogdanovic’s surgery is nothing to worry about. If it is just a cleanup in the meniscus, he should be 100% healthy once training camp begins for the Kings.

The Kings will need Bogdanovic to be healthy next season as he plays a major role in the team’s rebuild going forth.

During his rookie season, Bogdanovic averaged 11.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per contest while shooting 44.6% from the floor, 39.2% from the perimeter, and 84% from the charity stripe. The Serbian star’s style of skillful and intellectual basketball impressed the Kings and their fanbase this year which gave them more hope that the rebuild of the franchise will be successful more sooner than later.

Good luck today, Bogi. Hopefully, the surgery is a success and that you get healthy real soon!
