De’Aaron Fox to represent the Sacramento Kings at draft lottery
By Tyler Watts
De’Aaron Fox is not only the Sacramento Kings star point guard but hopefully, good luck charm after he received the nod to represent the team at the draft lottery.
De’Aaron Fox represented the Sacramento Kings as their top draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He also is their starting point guard and perhaps key to their future success. Fox earned a new distinction on Monday. Below is a Tweet from Sean Cunningham regarding the upcoming draft lottery.
What the news means?
The draft lottery takes place on May 15, and it will be an important night for the Kings. Fox will be the face of the team as the league announces the top three selections in the 2018 NBA Draft. The Kings have a 5.3 percent chance of selecting number one overall and 18.3 percent to choose in the top three. That means they will need Fox to be a little lucky for them to move up. Odds are Sacramento selects seventh overall, but they could fall as far back as tenth.
Why Fox?
De’Aaron Fox is becoming the Kings franchise player and having him represent the team at the draft lottery is a logical choice. It will be a chance for a worldwide audience to see Fox as the Kings ambassador.
