The Sacramento Kings host the Houston Rockets on April 11.  Today, we examine the injury report for both squads heading into that game.

The Sacramento Kings wrap up the 2017-2018 regular season on Wednesday as they host the Houston Rockets.  It is a fitting end to a difficult season.  The Kings opened the year by hosting the Rockets and now close the season with the same matchup.

Neither team has a lot to play for this evening.  Houston locked up the NBA’s best record awhile back and will have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.  The Kings have the sixth worst record in the league.  A Sacramento victory and Bulls loss would even their seasons at 27 wins and 55 losses, putting a bit of added emphasis on this game regarding lottery balls and draft pick order.

Now that you know what is at stake in the April 11 game between the Sacramento Kings and the Houston Rockets, here is a look at the injury report for each team heading into the contest.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings have five players out with injuries in their season finale.  Iman Shumpert (foot) and Harry Giles (knee rehabilitation) were out for the season for some time.   Both Garrett Temple and Skal Labissiere were ruled out with sprained ankles.  Frank Mason is the new addition with a tear of the plantar fascia in his left foot.  You can read more about his injury here.

Zach Randolph is not hurt, but also will not play this evening.  I wrote about his situation here if you are looking for more information.

Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are facing the second of a back-to-back and they (hopefully) have a lengthy playoff run approaching.  That likely means plenty of resting this evening.  I suspect to see James Harden, Chris Paul, and the rest of the Rockets starting five miss the game or play a short burst if they do.  The team does have two players injured.  Ryan Anderson missed the two previous games with an ankle injury.  Luc Mbah a Moute reinjured his right shoulder in Tuesday’s game, and there is almost no way he returns tonight.  Be sure to check for updates on who the Rockets are playing as tipoff approaches.

Final thoughts

There you have it, the injury reports for both the Sacramento Kings and the Houston Rockets heading into Wednesday’s regular-season finale.  It is your last chance to watch the Kings until a select few suits up for Summer League in July, so please tune in and enjoy the game.
