Sacramento Kings at Memphis Grizzlies: Game 80 injury reports

SACRAMENTO, CA - DECEMBER 31: Marc Gasol

The Sacramento Kings travel to play the Memphis Grizzlies on April 6.  Today, we examine the injury report for both squads heading into that game.

The Sacramento Kings travel to Tennessee to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.  The Grizzlies are looking to sweep the season series with Sacramento after notching the first two victories.

Both teams watched playoff contention slip away long ago.  Memphis currently has the second-worst record in the NBA, and Sacramento sits sixth.  With that said, let us take a look at each team’s injury report heading into the April 6 clash.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings lack an official injury report again, but my take on their situations heading into Friday’s game is below.  Iman Shumpert (foot) and Harry Giles (knee rehabilitation) are one hundred percent out tonight.  Garrett Temple (ankle) is highly unlikely to play also.  I would peg Temple at about a two percent chance to suit up.  Skal Labissiere has an ankle injury of his own that likely holds him out tonight.  Labissiere is probably about a 20 percent chance to play.

Zach Randolph is also nearly sure to be out with a personal matter.  He earns his own paragraph for being non-injury related.  I wrote about Z-Bo’s season likely being over here if you care to read more about it.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies PR sent out the following Tweet on Thursday detailing their injury report for this game.

When I first read the Tweet, I thought who is going to play for Memphis?  The hot dog vendor may just be logging 15 minutes on Friday.  Jokes aside, that is a massive injury report and leaves the Grizzlies extremely shorthanded this evening.  Expect another massive game from recently signed MarShon Brooks.  Yes, that is the same player you remember from years ago (he has not played in the NBA the last three seasons).

Final thoughts

There you have it, the injury reports for the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies heading into their April 6 showdown.  The Kings appear healthier and should have a distinct personnel advantage in this game.  Please tune in and enjoy what is likely to be a Sacramento victory.
