The Sacramento Kings travel to play the Phoenix Suns on April 3.  Today, we examine the injury report for both squads heading into that game.

The Sacramento Kings won on Sunday against the Lakers to snap a four-game losing streak.  The victory kicked off their road trip in style, but it came with another injury for the team to fret over.  There will be more on that story in a minute.

On Tuesday, the Kings travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns.  The home team has a massive injury report heading into the game and with 19 wins has the worst record in the NBA.  The April 3 game between Sacramento and Phoenix has significant implications in the race for lottery balls.  Without further ado, here are the injury reports for both squads heading into the game.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings did not release an official injury report, but here is my read on their injury situations heading into Tuesday’s game.  First, Iman Shumpert (foot) and Harry Giles (knee rehabilitation) are locks to be out.  Garrett Temple (ankle) is doubtful at best to play.  I would consider it a five percent chance that he suits up.  Then, the interesting situation comes into play.   Skal Labissiere injured his ankle on Sunday against the Lakers.  He should be considered questionable to face the Suns.  I believe whether Labissiere plays or not has a bearing on Zach Randolph’s status.  Z-Bo has not played since March 19 and looked to be out the rest of the season as I wrote about here.   That could change with Labissiere out because the Kings would need frontcourt bodies to fill the minutes.

There is a ton of uncertainty with the Kings as of this writing, so be sure to check Twitter or watch the pregame show to have all the latest information as tipoff approaches.

Phoenix Suns

The Suns have a massive injury report heading into this game as well.  Tyson Chandler is out with a neck injury.  According to Basketball Monster, Devin Booker (hand), Jared Dudley (ankle), Elfrid Payton (knee), and Alex Len (ankle) are all questionable.  T.J. Warren is doubtful with his knee injury, and I would not expect him to play this evening.  Those six injuries create a lot of uncertainty around the Suns’ rotations.  If every listed player is out, count on a big game from rookie Josh Jackson.

Final thoughts

There you have it, the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns injury reports heading into Tuesday’s clash.  Both young squads are nearly locks to pick in the top ten come June.  This contest is about development for both teams.  Hopefully, we see another clutch De’Aaron Fox shot tonight.  Please tune in and enjoy the game.
