The Sacramento Kings will be featured in another event during the All-Star weekend festivities. It has been announced that Buddy Hield will be a contestant for the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.

Sacramento Kings’ guard, Buddy Hield, will have a busy schedule once All-Star weekend is in session. It has already been reported that the second-year pro will join fellow teammate, Bogdan Bogdanovic, in the NBA Rising Stars game, but the news has recently been released that Hield will also be participating in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge as well.

What Is The Skills Challenge?

For one who may not be aware of the NBA Skills Challenge, it is an event where the participates have to go through an obstacle course which requires them to use their basketball skills in order to complete it. The goal is to have the fastest time once completing the obstacle.

The format of the challenge will be a tournament bracket which consists of eight participants where the players will go one-on-one against each other to see who records the faster time. The winner of the round will advance to the next round until one player comes out on top.

Listed down below are the other seven contestants who will join Buddy in the contest.

Participants

  • Spencer Dinwiddie from the Brooklyn Nets

  • Joel Embiid from the Philadelphia 76ers

  • Al Horford from the Boston Celtics

  • Lauri Markkanen from the Chicago Bulls

  • Jamal Murray from the Denver Nuggets

  • Kristaps Porzingis from the New York Knicks

  • Lou Williams from the Los Angeles Clippers

Final Thoughts

It will be nice to see that the Kings will be present during All-Star weekend. Especially with the team in a major rebuild, it makes it even more exciting to see that it will be the youth of the squad who will represent Sacramento in the hopes of making the community proud.

Good luck in the Skills Challenge, Buddy! Show them your true potential and force them to notice your game!
