Bogdan Bogdanovic: Both The Rookie And The Vet

The Sacramento Kings have not been a good team this season, but the play of Bogdan Bogdanovic continues to give Kings fans hope for a better future ahead.
Out of the large group of young talent that the Sacramento Kings have on their roster, Bogdan Bogdanovic has been the player that has stood out above the rest.
Performance On Court
For the season, the Serbian star is averaging 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3 assists per contest while shooting 48% from the floor and 39.5% from beyond the perimeter. He is also currently ranked one of the top rookies this season and was recently invited to participate in the NBA Rising Stars game.
In my opinion, Bogdanovic has been by far the best rookie on the Kings this season. Not only are his statistics backing up this notion, but the eye test shows me a player who consistently makes good decisions on the court and is not fazed by the NBA competition.
Not Your Average Rookie
It may be his first season in the NBA, but Bogdanovic is no average rookie. In the past few years, the Serbian star has played professional basketball overseas with Fenerbahce, a team that plays in the Euroleague, as well participated in many games with the Serbian national team.
Throughout his tenure playing overseas, Bogdanovic has achieved many personal and team accolades, the best one being named a Euroleague champion last spring.
With Bogdanovic having a lot of basketball experience under his belt, he has taken on the role of being both a rookie and a veteran player. Throughout the season, Bogdanovic has spread his wisdom throughout the locker room which has helped improve the play of some of his teammates.
Final Thoughts
A lot has not gone right for the Sacramento Kings this season, but the Kings and their fans have to be thrilled with the performance of Bogdan Bogdanovic so far.
With his ability to already be an NBA-ready player plus being a good example towards his young teammates, BB8 has been nothing but a pleasure to watch this season and has lived up to the hype given to him prior to his arrival to Sacramento.
