The Sacramento Kings suffered another double-digit road loss to the Toronto Raptors on Dec. 17. The Raptors rode a 35 point first quarter to defeat Sacramento 108-93 on Sunday. Below is a highlight video from that game in case you missed the action.
The injury bug once again bit the Kings on Sunday as well. Bogdan Bogdanovic left the game late in the fourth quarter with a quad contusion. Bogdanovic had played well scoring 18 points, with three rebounds, five assists, and a steal on seven of ten shooting from the field in 29 minutes. The injury was an unfortunate turn of events.
What the news means
De’Aaron Fox suffered a similar injury in the Kings previous game and missed Sunday’s contest in Toronto. No update on the extent of Bogdanovic’s ailment, but it is safe to assume he is day-to-day. Sacramento travels to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers on Tuesday and Bogdanovic is questionable at best to suit up in that one.
Who steps up?
If Bogdanovic needs to miss time, the Kings likely turn to more minutes from Garrett Temple, Buddy Hield, Vince Carter, and Justin Jackson. Perhaps, even Malachi Richardson returns to the rotation in a cameo role. Sacramento has options on the wing, so expect them to mix and match depending on the matchup.
