The Sacramento Kings lost tonight’s contest to the Washington Wizards by a score of 110-92. With tonight’s game in the books, it finalizes the season series between the two clubs to 2-0 in favor of Washington. This loss also drops Sacramento to a record of 3-10 for the season.

The beginning of tonight’s game was solid for Sacramento as the starting five gave their team a much-needed boost. The starters for Sacramento have gained a reputation for opening games slow offensively, but tonight they were mainly responsible for the team scoring 32 points in the first quarter.

With the Kings’ starters putting the team ahead early, it seemed a possible upset was in the works if the Kings’ bench, who has performed strongly this season, can replicate the same production. Unfortunately, the reserves did not have their best night as they finished with 42 points off 39% shooting from the floor. Not bad, but in their case, they underperformed.

Sacramento showed some solid basketball in tonight’s contest, but in the end, Washington’s John Wall was just too much for the purple and white. Throughout the entire night, Wall dominated which resulted in him leading his team to the comfortable victory.

For the game, Wall recorded 21 points and 9 assists while shooting 8/9 from the floor and 4/4 from the beyond the perimeter. Tonight’s performance from the multiple All-Star is more proof that he is one of the best point guards in today’s NBA.

Top performers from the Kings tonight were George Hill who recorded 16 points and 4 rebounds, Zach Randolph who recorded 12 points and 9 rebounds, and De’Aaron Fox who recorded 10 points and 5 assists.

Next time the Kings will play will be Wednesday night as they face off against the Atlanta Hawks.
