This article will showcase what type of numbers Vince Carter has put up in Sacramento prior to his signing this summer.

Vince Carter has been around the NBA for a long time. Actually, he’s been playing at the highest level for two decades, which is more than the entire lifetime of some of his new teammates. The 40-year old star agreed to join the Sacramento Kings this summer, and he is not ready to call it quits just yet.

As the tip-off of the 2017-2018 season gets closer, there are lots of interesting and fun facts one can get to know about Carter.

Joining the Kings, he will set foot on the hardwood of the Golden 1 Center most of the time during this upcoming season, a place he’s visited only twice as a player. But that’s not a surprise because Sacramento moved into their state-of-the-art facility only last season.

But now let’s get back to the topic. Carter will play for the Kings this season, but how has he performed in Sacramento during his marvelous career?

Here are his average stats against the Kings in Sacramento during his tenures with the Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and Memphis Grizzlies. Side note, he didn’t play any road games against the Kings during his time as an Orlando Magic.

It’s not a surprise that his playing time goes down as his age goes up. However, he was shooting most efficiently not as a Raptor (when he was known for his inhuman dunks) but while he was a Net. Actually, Carter’s period in New Jersey was, in general, the best tenure he had statistically when visiting the Kings’ old arena.

Take a look at the numbers:

Toronto Raptors: 6 games, 33.8 minutes, 19.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.8 TO, 36.1% FG.

New Jersey Nets: 4 games, 34.5 minutes, 19.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.2 steals, 2.7 TO, 51.6% FG.

Phoenix Suns: 2 games, 24.0 minutes, 13.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals, 2.0 TO, 44.0% FG.

Dallas Mavericks: 5 games, 24.8 minutes, 10.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.6 steals, 2.0 TO, 32.0% FG.

Memphis Grizzlies: 3 games, 17.3 minutes, 9.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.3 steals, 0.6 TO, 40.9% FG.

Total: 20 games, 28.7 minutes, 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 rebounds, 0.8 steals, 1.9 TO, 40.0% FG.
