It was a tough choice, but Frank Mason’s performance against the Lakers was the top individual outing by a Kings player this summer league. During the third quarter, the Kings were trailing by a whopping 28 points to their division rival. With the Kings trailing big time and De’Aaron Fox being sidelined due to a bad ankle, all was hope seemed lost.
Fortunately, Mason came in and showcased great scoring, passing, and rebounding ability. As a result, the Kings were able to come back and even take the lead during the final period of play. Even though the Kings lost the match, it was a thrilling game to watch. The main reason why the game became riveting was that of Mason’s surge in the second half which propelled the Kings to rally back into the contest.
