The Sacramento Kings have come to an agreement with the New York Knicks that will send Scott Perry to the Big Apple.

You read that right. The news is official that the Sacramento Kings will send Scott Perry, now former Kings’ Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, to the New York Knicks via trade.

According to USA Today’s Sam Amick, the Knicks will receive Perry and will give the Kings a second round pick in the 2019 NBA draft and cash considerations in return. With this trade, Perry will become the next general manager for the Knicks

Although Perry’s time in Sacramento was short-lived (hired in April of 2017), his contribution to the team was valuable. Perry, along with other Kings’ front office members, played a part in the Kings’ recent draft last June which so far is considered a well-executed performance. He also played a part in who the Kings signed this year in free agency.

To conclude, the people here at A Royal Pain want to thank Scott Perry for the work he did with the Kings these last couple of months. The tenure was short, but in my opinion, productive. Thank you, Scott, and best of luck going forward!
