Here are some facts to take away from tonight’s Sacramento Kings game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Sacramento Kings fought in tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies but were unable to close the win as they were defeated by a score of 81-75. Listed down below are some key facts to takeaway from tonight’s contest.

De’Aaron Fox

De’Aaron Fox showed another solid outing in this year’s summer league. For the game, he recorded 17 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. He continues to run the floor well on offense and is pesky against opponents on defense. It’s safe to say that he has been the Kings’ best player so far in this year’s summer league games.

Kings’ Bigs

In terms of the bigs for Sacramento, they were active, especially around the paint area. Skal Labissiere finished the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds. Georgios Papagiannis had himself 5 points and 7 rebounds. And Jack Cooley was able to score 11 points and grab 5 rebounds.

Shooting

The biggest knock for the Kings tonight was their inability to make jump shots, especially from beyond the perimeter. For the game, the purple and white only made 14.3% of their three-point shots as well as recording a horrid 57.1% from the free-throw line.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Kings’ summer league campaign has been disappointing. Prior to the games starting, the Kings were considered a legit contender to win the summer league championship, but fast forward three days later and the team is sitting at a 0-2 record.

I think the main focus for the Kings going forward should be finding ways to improve their overall shooting. The Kings have recorded abysmal shooting percentages from the three-point line and free-throw line in summer league so far, and if they continue this trend, they will continue to struggle.
